I'm Thomas Steven Varga, an actor and acting teacher based in Los Angeles. I also write and direct theatre and independent film projects. I recently earned my Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of California, Irvine's rigorous and highly selective graduate acting program, before heading to Hollywood.

As an actor, I have worked on feature length and short films, TV, commercials, industrials, web series, as well as professional theaters up and down the west coast. (Including work with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, New Swan Shakespeare Festival, Santa Rosa Summer Rep, Oregon Contemporary Theatre, and Counter-Balance Theater.)

As an educator of actors, I teach courses at the Actors Studio of Orange County, Cypress College, as well as private lessons and coaching. Courses that I teach include Scene Study, On-Camera Technique, Monologues/Auditioning, Shakespeare, Movement, and Speech/Accents. I am a certified teacher of Seven Pillars Acting Technique and Loui Movement Technique as well as having extensive training in Meisner Technique, acting for the camera, Stage Combat, Fitzmaurice Voicework, Knight-Thompson Speechwork, Mime, and Clowning.

In 2015 I founded Galvanics Physical Theatre Ensemble and co-directed its first workshop production; an adaptation of August Strindberg's Miss Julie called Julie & Jean. I have also written several plays that received playwriting awards and full productions.

Thanks so much for visiting my site! I hope to work with you soon! Either as an actor myself, or helping you improve on your own craft as an actor yourself.

ALL THE BEST,

Thomas
